SIEGFRIED HALL University of Notre Dame

HALL HISTORY
Constructed in 1988 through the financial commitments of Robert ('37) and Ray ('65) Siegfried; Converted to a male residence hall in 1997 after the transformation of Flanner and Grace Halls into office space; Original female residents of Siegfried Hall moved to Welsh Family Hall on West Quad; Ramblers nickname adopted after the move (the nickname was one of the former names used by the University before "Fighting Irish" was adopted); Rivals with Knott Hall, the other male Mod Quad residence hall.
ROOM INFORMATION
Most of the rooms in Siegfried (60%) are doubles. About 20% of the rooms are singles. There are also 6 three-room quads on each floor. Study lounges can be converted into large, one-room triples. Similar layout exists in PE, PW, and Knott.
